Finishing some Projects

I got the trip around the world finished up today. I had it on my frame for a few weeks, meaning to tie it, but wasn't getting around to it. But today, after quitting my job this morning- huge weight off my shoulders- I came home, tied it, and pinned my edges. After supper I found time to sew the edges.

So yeah, I quit my job this morning. My boss was terrible, very rude and unprofessional. In my review last week she admitted to being a b****, but I shouldn't take it personal, and should leave it at work. Yeah right! My hubby had noticed for a while that I was crabby more often than not, and that's just not healthy for me or my family. I didn't have anything lined up for work, but things have just been falling into place. Spoke with a temp agency today- I can start Monday as a loan processor at a bank, which is more of what I went to school for anyway. Less pay, but still income and hopefully a better place.
And this is the pillow case I made for my first little boy. He loves trains, and Thomas the Train right now, so I thought this was fitting. He wouldn't leave me alone when I was making it for him.

  2. The job change sounds like a very good move to me. Money isn't everything, being happy is much more important.

  3. Wow! Sounds like you had a terrible boss. Good on you for quitting. Life is way too short to spend it with people who don't know how to treat others. I hope the new job works out better for you.

  4. It was still tough to actually quit, but I had wanted to for quite some time. She called me 9 times yesterday too. And this morning one of the guys from the office called to see if I would come back. If I knew she was actually done and ready to retire, I would think about it, but also know that isn't likely.

  5. I for one would rather less pay then a boss who over steps her authority in an abusive way. Who needs that? Life is too short. I love quilts and I'm a follower so I will be watching you complete them. It's always exciting when the actual quilting of the layers begins isn't it. Hugs. Tammy
